Season 8 Tower of Trials (August 31st to September 14th, 2021)

Season 8 is a repeat of the tower from Season 4 in which the bosses are all members of the Roars of Dawn.

Recommended Teams

Season 4 was one of the easier towers to complete, so Season 8 is even easier since Super Awakening has since been introduced and the hero maximum level was raised to 90.  This tower is completable even by F2P players and provides great rewards, so it is recommended for everyone to try.  Ultimately, any high DPS team (or your best PvP team) should be able to carry you through Season 8 of the Tower of Trials without too much difficulty.  If you are struggling on any level, make sure to check your equipment and try to use AoE attacks and attack seal the bosses whenever possible.


For F2P players, a viable team to use is Green Escanor, Blue King, Red Gowther, and Green Deathpierce.  This team concentrates on using Green Escanor as the primary damage dealer, Blue King as the healer, Red Gowther as a unit to rank up the others’ skills, and Green Deathpierce increases his allies’ stats.  A similar team that isn’t F2P is made up of Red Sariel, Green New King Arthur, Green Gowther, and Green Deathpierce.  


A great team that can auto this tower is a full Goddess team, composed of Red Sariel, Blue Tarmiel, Blue Festival Ludociel, and Blue Goddess Elizabeth.  With this team, Ludociel and Sariel serve as the primary damage dealers, and both have great AoE attacks that can help to damage the boss and bypass the Hide attribute.  Tarmiel protects both damage dealers by drawing attacks on him.  In the event that any of those three units were to die, Blue Goddess Elizabeth is able to provide barriers to protect the remaining units.  This team is highly viable even if all units are not maxed out.


An alternate high DPS team that can be used is Green “Assault Mode” Meliodas, Red Derieri, Green Estarossa, and Red Zeldris.  This team plays on the counter mechanic and forces the bosses to damage themselves through attacking.  


Additionally, the “I Don’t Need to Give Everything I Got” portion of the Tower Conqueror title requires clearing the final floor with three starting grade SR heroes on the team.  Season 8 is expected to be the final round of this format of the tower, and it is one of the easiest ones to complete so if this award hasn’t been obtained yet it is recommended to get this done on Season 8.  One team that can complete this objective is Red Lostvayne Meliodas, Blue Arthur, Green Gilthunder, and Red Princess Elizabeth.  Another team that can be used is Blue The One Escanor, Blue Meliodas, Blue Gilthunder, and Red Princess Elizabeth.  With both of these team setups, a high damage dealing SSR unit is used with three SR units for support.  Obtaining this title grants +4% HP when eating HP food, which is great when using Red Purgatory Ban.

Boss Levels

All boss levels will have the number of skill uses increased by 2 and will be affected by Hide, which prevents them from being able to select targets if there is an ally hero on the battlefield.  All bosses are also able to attack while ignoring Evasion.  Minions with bosses are not listed in the table below, but they typically have Heavy Blow and Wound skills that are only able to be Rank 1 and Rank 2, with Wound being their Ultimate Move.  Contrary to the prior run from Season 4, each boss does not have a different stage attribute.  In Season 8, all bosses have the Demoralize attribute, which depletes five orbs from the Ultimate Move gauges of all enemies at the end of the turn when an allied hero defeated an enemy during an allied turn.
