Season 5 Tower of Trials (May 11th to June 8th, 2021)

All levels of the Season 5 Tower of Trials have a stage attribute “All Together Now”, which results in all heroes set to the team being able to participate from the start of the battle.  Additionally, all enemies have an enemy attribute “The Curse of Fire”, which causes three Ignite effects to be applied to all enemies at the beginning of every turn.  These Ignite effects will last for three turns, and reduce damage dealt to all allies by 6% for each Ignite effect that is on an enemy.  The bosses in this season’s tower are all fairies from the Fairy King’s Forest.

Floors 1 - 20

As with previous seasons, AOE team compositions tend to be better to rush the floor completion since they’re able to attack the hidden bosses that can’t be targeted.  For boss levels, using a unit that can Purify and remove Ignite effects can also be helpful to reduce the damage debuff from The Curse of Fire.

In general, a combination of the following can be useful:

●      AOE DPS character (such as Red Sariel or Red Lostvayne Meliodas)

●      DPS character (such as Blue “The One” Escanor)

●      Rank Up character (such as Red Gowther or Halloween Gowther)

●      Counter character (such as Green Estarossa)

●      Boost character (such as Green New King Arthur or Red Princess Elizabeth)

●      Cleansing character (such as Blue King, Blue Lillia, Blue Fraudrin)

●      Shield character (such as Blue Goddess Elizabeth)

Floors 21 - 25

The last four floors tend to be more difficult.  These are the floors that will likely need Lifesteal or Attack food to help improve upon attacks being dealt by allies.  For these levels, it’s important to utilize a combination of a heavy attack-dealer, a unit to protect or to heal, a unit to rank up skills, and finally a unit to boost the skills of the units currently in combat.  Since All Together Now puts all heroes on the team in combat at the same time, it is not necessary to find a unit whose passive works from the sub slot – a unit whose passive works once they’re in combat will also suffice.

Recommended Teams

DPS Teams

There are a few variants of different teams that focus on utilizing at least one high DPS unit with support units.

This tactic takes advantage of Blue Fraudin’s Unique ability – once he is killed, all ally debuffs are removed and their Ultimate Move gauges are completely filled.  To ensure that he dies first, it’s best not to fully max him out.  Once this is done, all of the other units on the team will be able to use their Ultimate Moves immediately and kill off all of the enemies quickly.

This tactic utilizes Blue LizHawk’s passive to increase the team’s HP, and Valenti’s Unique ability to decrease the enemies’ Pierce Rates by the value of her Resistance at the start of the battle, thereby making it more likely for the ally team to withstand the attacks (and hopefully take zero damage through patience).  Either Green or Red Gowther can be used to rank up Assault Meliodas’s skills and allow him to be the primary damage dealer.

With this team, Green Arthur is targeted and kept alive by Red Melascula’s passive.  This draws attacks away from Red Sariel, whose skills can be ranked up by Red Gowther.  Red Sariel then is the primary damage dealer to kill off the boss and minions.  Additionally, Green Arthur’s Unique ability increases allies’ damage dealt by 35% and decreases allies’ damage taken by 35% as long as all allies are alive.

With this tactic, Estarossa taunts to draw attacks to him while Derieri, Zeldris, and Meliodas target and kill off the minions.  Once Derieri’s Ultimate Move is ready and the minions are gone, she should be able to take out the boss in a single hit.

Counter teams make use of Green Estarossa’s Counter skill, which also taunts and draws attacks to him.  Either Green or Red Gowther can be used to rank up Estarossa’s skills.  Green Arthur helps to improve upon Estarossa’s attacks since his Unique ability increases allies’ damage dealt by 35% and decreases allies’ damage taken by 35% as long as all allies are alive.  With this team, either Green LizHawk, Red Melascula, or Tarmiel can be used to help keep Estarossa alive so that he can kill off all of the enemies.

Boss Levels

All boss levels will have the number of skill uses increased by 2 and will be affected by Hide, which prevents them from being able to select targets if there is an ally hero on the battlefield.  All bosses are also able to attack while ignoring Evasion.
