Season 3 Tower of Trials (February 10th to March 9th, 2021)
Floors 1 - 14
Like with previous seasons, the early floors of the Tower of Trials can use any number of heroes, as these levels tend to be easier. AOE team compositions tend to be better to rush the floor completion, since they’re able to attack the hidden bosses that can’t be targeted.
In general, a combination of the following can be useful:
- AOE DPS character (such as Red Sariel or Red Lostvayne Meliodas)
- DPS character (such as Blue “The One” Escanor)
- Rank Up character (such as Red Gowther or Halloween Gowther)
- Boost character or Ult Rush character (such as Green New King Arthur, Blue Fraudrin, Blue Princess Elizabeth, Red Arthur, or Green Merlin)
- Shield character (such as Blue Goddess Elizabeth)
Floors 15 - 25
Floor 15 gets considerably more difficult for boss levels. Hendrickson and Dreyfuss are both immune to crowd control techniques, and Hendrickson is able to revive himself once and increase his Lifesteal when his HP is less than 50%. Hendrickson and Dreyfuss also both boost Defense stats by 20% for every surviving ally, so the best tactic is to get rid of Dreyfuss first, then kill Hendrickson twice.
On Floor 20, Denzel heals himself by 50% of diminished HP every time that a Debuff is removed from him so you do not want to use any units that clear Debuffs. Denzel also is able to remove Ult Move orbs when he attacks and Deathpierce randomly removes one skill when attacking. Both of these combined can make Ult Rushing very difficult so the best tactic is to get rid of Denzel first and then attack Deathpierce.
Floor 25 is the final floor for the Tower of Trials, and requires combatting Zaratras and two minions. Similar to Deathpierce, Zaratras will randomly remove one skill when attacking. Additionally, similar to Hendrickson, Zaratras will revive himself by 50% of max HP once upon dying. He cannot be debuffed and he cannot be targeted until his minions are killed. The best tactic to beating him is to clear the minions and then Ult Rush him (twice) for elimination.
Season 3: Recommended Teams
Human DPS Team |

This team composition is a classic damage-dealing team to help power through the levels. The One Escanor deals an unprecedented amount of damage with his attacks, and also applies stat-increasing Buffs and grants himself periodic Debuff Immunity through use of his Unique ability. Green New King Arthur helps to boost the damage dealt by all allies, as well as reduce the damage taken for all allies. Green Roxy boosts Attack stats of other humans. Last but not least, Green Deathpierce in the sub slot serves to decrease the enemies’ Crit Resistance and Crit Defense by 30% to make them easier to beat.

This team composition relies on a combination of damage dealing and protecting units. Goddess Elizabeth is able to reflect damage dealt and also shield her allies. Red Sariel is useful against the boss stages because his damage dealt increases the higher the enemy’s Resistance is, which makes him very effective against enemies with high Defense-related stats. His Unique ability also increases all Goddess allies’ basic stats by 20% of his basic stats, which makes him useful when paired with Goddess Elizabeth and Blue Tarmiel Blue Tarmiel then is able to reduce the damage received by allies, and take some of the reduced damage himself to help protect his high-damage dealing allies (in this case, Red Sariel). Green Deathpierce in the sub slot serves to decrease the enemies’ Crit Resistance and Crit Defense by 30% to make them easier to beat.

This team composition is really only effective up through Floor 20. It takes advantage of Blue Lillia’s skills to decrease the enemy’s Ult Move gauge, and utilizes her Unique ability to boost the damage dealer’s AOE Pierce attacks. Green Rugal and either Green Roxy or Blue Demon Meliodas serve as the primary damage dealers to help clear the levels faster. Green Deathpierce in the sub slot serves to decrease the enemies’ Crit Resistance and Crit Defense by 30% to make them easier to beat.

To use this team composition for Ult Rush, you can use Gowther’s skills to rank up Red Lostvayne Meliodas and rush his Ultimate to burst the enemies. Blue Fraudrin will also help to deplete Ultimate Move Gauge orbs from the enemies, however his primary benefit is to fill his allies’ Ultimate Move Gauges upon his death and remove all ally Debuffs due to his Unique ability. To use him as a sacrifice to easily fill the team’s Ult Gauge, he must have the lowest CC, which can be done by leaving him at a low level, and/or unequipping all costumes and equipment. Upon Blue Fraudrin’s death, Red Melascula will be brought into battle, and she will be able to continue to deal damage and heal herself back up due to her skill attacks and Ultimate.
Boss Levels
All boss levels will have the number of skill uses increased by 2 and will be affected by Hide, which prevents them from being able to select targets if there is an ally hero on the battlefield. All bosses are also able to attack while ignoring Evasion.
