Hero Guide[]
[Re:ZERO] Witch of Greed Echidna, more commonly known as Green Echidna or just Echidna, is an exclusive unit from the 7DS:GC x Re:ZERO collaboration event. Echidna is a hero with high utility and can serve in multiple roles, particularly Unknown support and DPS. Her best areas to be used are in PVP, geared and ungeared, as well as Demonic Beast Battle. However, she is best used in a team of Unknown characters to maximize her abilities, but that does not mean she has to be used with them.
If you can stack her Attack-related stat buffs, she can quickly become a strong DPS character all while supporting the basic stats of your Unknown race allies. She is equipped with an AOE Infect card allowing Echidna to close down the possibility of Red Tarmiel links. The buffs Echidna does receive are blue so they can be removed and card effects like Rupture does do more damage on Echidna when she has these buffs active.
Echidna can also be used in the Hraesvelgr Demonic Beast Battle, particularly alongside other Unknown characters such as Green Festival Gowther.
Stat-wise, Echidna has high Attack-related stats, average HP, and average defense. All in all, she is capable of dealing massive AOE damage while restricting the healing of the enemy team and making your Unknown team hit harder.
Pros[]
- Excellent support for Unknown race teams
- Great farming unit
- Infect skill is invaluable in PVP
- Ultimate provides support to all allies, particularly Unknown allies
- Does not need high investment to function well
Cons[]
- Limited use outside of Unknown teams
- Reliant on buffs, making her vulnerable to Buff Removal or Rupture units
- Double AOE attacks make her vulnerable to Red Tarmiel link
- Being a collab unit makes her difficult to acquire
Skill Review[]
It’s Simple Magic - A strong AOE attack that deals significant damage as you stack more buffs from her Unique Ability and it pairs well with Crit Damage gear.
How Interesting - A Debuff attack skill that restricts enemy healing. Works well in tandem with her Holy Relic, which increases her damage output when the enemy has a Debuff on them and decreases the damage she takes by 15%.
I’m a Bad Witch - Strong Ultimate that deals exceptional damage and buffs all your allies. Extra effective for Unknown race allies.
Unique: Boundless Greed - Echidna’s Unique Ability allows for her to buff the basic stats of her Unknown race allies while increasing her own Attack potency as teammates attack, including herself.
Holy Relic: Angrboda's Book of Misfortune - So long as you use her Infect card first (or any applicable Debuff card), the Holy Relic effect will take effect and she will deal increased damage while decreasing her own damage taken. Countered by enemies with Debuff Immunity or Purify.
Gear Recommendation[]
The optimal gear set for Green Echidna will be HP and Defense gear sets because Echidna is an excellent Unknown team supporter and health recovery blocker. Since Echidna is a full Unknown support it will be best to make her tanky and up her survivability.
Equipment Set
Life (HP) / Iron Wall (Defense)
Substats are as follows:
- Bracer/Ring - Attack
- Necklace/Earring - Defense
- Belt/Rune - HP
PVP - Echidna works wonders for Unknown teams. She grants the team higher stats while hitting hard herself, which means she isn’t simply a support unit with bad skills. Echidna is also equipped with an Infect card allowing you to make a huge play shutting down health recovery on the enemies. The most optimal team for Green Echidna would be Red Tyr, Red Freyr, and Blue Nanashi. Considering the sizeable good roster the Unknown team has units can be swapped around to your liking.
PVE (Story / Farm / Sub-Quests / Boss) - Due to her double AOE attacks, she can clear most PVE events and is excellent as a farming unit, particularly in Fort Solgres.
Knighthood Bosses - She can be helpful in Unknown Teams there some bosses forces you to use Unknown Units as they deal extra damage to Demon, Goddess and Human Units which are relied on so she can help out strenghing and supporting Unknown Teams but however she is not recommended in Demonic Beast Akumu and Demonic Beast Belgius as both buffs uses Over-Rupture that does 10 times extra lethal damage to buffed units that can probably one shot her as her unique adds buffs whenever herself and allies attack plus adding buffs to all allies from her ult move will probably wipe out your team so her as a buff reliant unit is not the best choice.
Gray Demon - Though she lacks a single-target Attack skill, Echidna’s damage can prove very useful if you lack Green Festival Merlin for damage.
Training Grotto - She can be used to counter Speed-type (Blue) Illusion Ambers.
