Strategies for Farming PVE Content[]

Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross has various PVE contents necessary for player progression. These thrilling game modes await players and have fun outside the Boar Hat Tavern such as:

In order to clear these modes easily, you need to prepare suitable heroes. Since heroes have different grades, attributes, and skill composition, the game content that is suitable for each hero must be different. Therefore, you should consider the type of content that you want to clear, as well as what kind of enemy would appear, and build your most efficient team according to this information.

Free Stages/Boss Battle Stages[]

General stages would include things such as ingredients for food to take into battle or boss battle stages. At this point, these stages are extremely easy to complete on any difficulty. Ingredient stages should be farmed on Easy for maximum stamina efficiency, while boss battles should be farmed on the hardest difficulty for SSR equipment drops. Virtually any team is viable, but you'll want to load up on any unit with at least one AOE skill, or even two AOE skills. Good choices for newer players would be a unit like Red Sariel, who can easily clear the stages thanks to his Sever skill.

Farming Gold/Attribute Dungeon (Fort Solgres)[]

Since stages in Fort Solgres typically contain multiple enemies, you should prioritize strong AOE attackers. The best-case scenario is for a unit to have two AOE attacks, but this isn't a strict rule. So long as most of the team has at least one AOE skill, the team can work. Naturally, certain units work better with other specific units. The sub-unit with these teams does matter but can be up to personal preference in most instances. For example, you can opt to lower enemy defense with Green Deathpierce or increase the attack power of your own team with Red Ragnarok Ban.

Death Match (Red Demon)[]

The original three Death Matches have become much simpler to complete over time. The Red Demon is widely considered to be the easiest of them all, and the general strategy to farm it reflects that. This Death Match does not have any gimmicks to worry about, so stacking up on strong, single-target damage dealers is the way to go. While units with AOE attacks can still hurt the boss decently well, it is less efficient. If you have units that are at least leveled relatively high (Level 90 or above), this boss should be a cakewalk. If need be, you can farm easier difficulties until your units are built enough to easily clear the Hell difficulty. Remember that you can only bring Blue (Speed), Dark, and Light Attribute units to Hell difficulty.

Death Match (Gray Demon)[]

This boss has one important gimmick to keep in mind, and that is that it will evade (dodge) all close-ranged attacks excluding Ultimate Moves due to it having a Flight buff. Considering this buff can not be removed, you should use characters that attack from a distance to quickly defeat the boss. The battle state will change every 3 turns which will allow you to attack it with melee attacks, but you don't really want to be in the fight that long. It is much better to bring one support unit that can provide Attack buffs to your team or some other utility, either Red Gowther (on lower difficulties) or Green Halloween Gowther (on Hell difficulty) to provide Rank-ups to your skills, and a strong DPS option like Green Festival Merlin. Remember that you can only bring Green (HP), Dark, and Light Attribute units to Hell difficulty.

Death Match (Howlex: Crimson Demon)[]

This boss is tougher than the other two previous Death Matches, but not by much. The only two things to keep in mind are that during certain phases, attacking the boss will increase its Attack-related stats, Defense-related stats, or both in the final phase. Secondly, it can "brand" someone on the team, which will make it attack that unit until it dies. However, modern units can kill the boss in one or two turns very efficiently, effectively making these two things a non-issue. As such, loading up on damage dealers is the way to go, similar to the Red Demon farming strategy. Bring one support unit to assist the other two DPS characters on the team and there should be no issue clearing this boss in less than four turns assuming your characters have sufficiently built gear. Remember that you can only bring Red (Strength), Dark, and Light Attribute units to Hell difficulty.

Death Match (Bellmoth)[]

This is a Death Match activated by completing each of the top three boss battles on Hell difficulty. An important note to make is that the boss evades all ranged attacks, excluding Ultimate Moves. Additionally, the lower the boss's HP, the more damage it will deal. So, if you decide to attack make sure you are going for the kill. Moreover, the boss is more reliant on having certain units to make it a breeze, but today's diversity of units can allow for some substitutes. Given that modern units can deal exceptional damage on their own, you can go for an all-DPS build in an effort to kill the boss before it has a chance to counterattack. Alternatively, you can opt for a slower build that relies more on Ultimates than ordinary DPS skills if you lack the confidence that your units can kill the boss in a single turn. Remember that you can only bring Green (HP), Dark, and Light Attribute units to Hell difficulty.

Death Match (Original Demon)[]

This is a Death Match activated by completing each of the bottom three boss battles on Hell difficulty. Unlike some previous Death Matches, this boss does not dodge specific attack types but will evade all attacks (excluding Ultimate Moves) when at a certain HP threshold on certain phases, depending on the difficulty. Considering this boss is a recent addition, it can not be simply brute-forced like the previous Death Matches. Assuming you are completing the event with a human ally, one team will need a tank of some sort with the Taunt ability, a unit that buffs Attack-related stats (or ideally all basic stats), and strong DPS units. Amplify units such as Dark Traitor Meliodas reign supreme since most strategies utilize Buffs in some fashion. However, in that sense, the team builds aren't all that different with the exception of a dedicated tank unit. If operating on your own or with an AI, you will likely need to bring the tank unit yourself as the AI does not generally use the Stance skill.

Knighthood Boss Battle (Einek)[]

For simple farming needs, you can bring up to three DPS and a support unit of some sort such as Green New King Arthur. The boss isn't particularly tanky. You'll want to beat the first phase through skills alone, and then quickly kill the boss in phase two with an Ultimate. Keep in mind that the boss's shield can not be removed with the Buff Removal ability.

Knighthood Boss Battle (Kelak)[]

To maximize point efficiency, you'll want to focus on using characters that amplify the damage your DPS unit deals, an Attack buffer or two, and the DPS character themselves. If you are a newer player, you can also bring a unit that can help keep the team alive through some healing or defensive stat-boosting. If you are an advanced player, you can forgo the support and just use another Attack-related stat buffer that is different from the first, because two of the same Buffs will not stack. Given that point strategies are also meant to be quick, they can also be used for farming rewards quickly.

Knighthood Boss Battle (Akumu)[]

This boss can be defeated in a few ways. In easier difficulties, utilizing the mono-red Purgatory Ban team can easily clear it, or utilizing a variation of the Pierce team. For Hell difficulty, you can use a team that has one buffer such as Blue Festival Ludociel, a protector such as Blue Fairy King Harlequin, a DPS unit such as Dark Traitor Meliodas, and a supporting character like Green Halloween Gowther. You need to defeat both arms of the boss to deal damage to it, but it isn't very tanky once its arms are defeated.

Knighthood Boss Battle (Belgius)[]

This boss deals extra damage to Human race characters, so you are better off not bringing them along. For the most part, players tend to utilize the Goddess race team as they have very good synergy for lower difficulties. However, Hell difficulty will require you to use Fairies, Unknown, or Giant race characters due to the minions and the boss dealing extra damage to all other races. Plus, you will need to defeat both sword minions before being able to damage the boss. Since healing skills are restricted during this boss, it is a good idea to bring units that can heal the team on their Ultimate move, such as Red Skadi. Like Knighthood Boss Akumi, Blue Fairy King Harlequin can be an excellent protector and damage dealer, while a unit such as Green Festival Gowther can provide support and Debuff the minions.
