Strategy

Belgius is immune to all damage while either of his two allies (the swords on his left and right) are on the battlefield.  While it can be tempting to use AOE attacks to clear both of the swords faster if possible so that Belgius can begin taking damage, the swords’ Unique abilities will cause Ultimate Move Gauge orbs to be depleted by use of AOE attacks so this is something that is important to keep in mind.  The boss is immune to debuffs, but his swords on his left and right are not so they can be frozen or petrified, providing more time to focus damage on the other opponent while one is incapacitated.

Protective Magic is able to apply a stance that decreases damage taken and increases stats for two turns, and can be used every three turns.  Thus, using heroes that can remove the boss’s stance can be helpful.  

Belgius will freeze any enemy who uses a Buff skill so keep the use of these to a minimum, since frozen enemies will also receive 800% additional damage.  Units whose Buffs are applied through Unique abilities are not vulnerable to this freeze.  

Since the boss and swords deal additional damage against Goddesses, Humans and Demons, this limits the heroes that should be used to Giants, Fairies and Unknown Race units.  There are some weekly challenges that encourage the use of Goddesses, Humans or Demons for extra points so if these are being attempted then it will be easier to do so at easier difficulties where the remaining team members can carry the weaker unit.

The primary strategy to use when fighting Belgius is to rush Ultimate Moves and deal as much damage as quickly as possible.  

Main factors of getting high points:

  1. Number of surviving heroes - Additional points are granted proportional to the number of surviving heroes
  2. Remaining HP - Additional points are granted proportional to the remaining HP
  3. Team Combat Class - Additional points are granted proportional to the team’s overall combat class
  4. Clearing Speed - Points are deducted proportional to the number of turns used
  5. Damage Dealt - Additional points are granted proportional to the damage that is dealt against the enemy

There are also additional missions that can be accomplished to get more points, which change each week.

Building your team

To counter Belgius, the team should be built of a combination of team members that can cancel stances, disable buff & debuff skills, and increase Ultimate Move Gauge orbs.  All four members of the team are able to be used at the same time.  The higher the allies’ Ultimate Moves, the faster they’ll be able to clear, so select your team based on which set has members with the highest Ultimate Move ranks from your box.
