In Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross there are many different recipes that you can cook with Ban in the Tavern or buy in the Material, Knighthood, or Fight Festival Shops (buying the cooked food outright is more expensive than buying the individual ingredients and cooking the recipes yourself, although some of the farming and PvP food items can only be bought from the Shops).
With so many different types of cooking items that you can choose from, how do you decide which one to eat and when?

Event Food
Every so often, an event will have a special Boss or Death Match battle, and with it, you’ll get access to special food that can be used for that event. Once the event is over, the benefits of that food become moot, so make sure to use them as much as possible during those events!
Affinity Food
Last but not least, you don’t always have to eat the cooked food items yourself! Another use for food is to give it to your heroes to increase their Affinity. Each hero has their own Cooking item that they prefer for increasing Affinity, although Vanya Ale or Affinity Increase Elixirs are always other backup options if you don’t have the correct food available.
Farming for Ingredients
If you’re looking to farm Ingredients the most efficiently, consider using Red Howzer alone on Easy mode. Weinheidt is also a good alternative, but you want to take advantage of Red Howzer’s attack skills all affecting all enemies at the same time.
While you’re farming for Ingredients, you can also perform Village Quests to clear Free Stages. This is a good way to “kill two birds with one stone”, and clear your Daily Quests simultaneously while you’re working on collecting materials to cook recipes.
Each Ingredient can be found in different locations. The list below shows all locations that give Ingredients, so locations that give more than one Ingredient for a given recipe are the most effective to farm overnight in order to conserve stamina.
For example, Chicken Matango Tamagoyaki requires Aged Meat, Egg, and Sliced Chicken Matango, so it is most effective to farm for ingredients in Vanya Plains since both Aged Meat and Sliced Chicken Matango can be found in that location.
