Hero Guide[]
After receiving his Holy Relic, Blue Nanashi has served to be particularly effective in the Sub Slot for multiple teams. Naturally, he shines best within the Sub Slot of the Unknown team as it makes the best use of his effects, but can be utilized for the Demon team or Goddess team thanks to the additional defense his Holy Relic grants in addition to his Unique Ability. These teams have multiple viable Sub slot units but Nanashi is one of the better options if his Holy Relic is in effect. Without it, he is much worse and not recommended for teams in the Sub slot.
A notable interaction to take note of is that his Dissolve effect when his Buffs are applied to an ally. Remember, the Dissolve effect only applies once per unit when an enemy attacks, meaning that attacking the same unit twice will only remove one Ultimate Move Gauge. However, if an enemy attacks two different enemies in a turn, they will lose two Ultimate Move Gauge orbs. Due to this effect, Nanashi can really help teams that struggle to control enemy Ultimate Move Gauge.
In terms of team building, Nanashi's usability can be quite varied. As mentioned before, he can offer an easy way to control enemy Ultimate Move Gauge for teams that lack a dedicated unit for it, such as the Goddess team. Likewise, he can offer extra defensive utility from teams that could benefit from it, which is practically every team. You can also utilize him to boost Amplify units so they can deal more damage, though this isn't relevant in the current meta as of September 2023.
Pros[]
- Available on permanent banners which makes acquiring him much easier
- His Unique Ability works even in the Sub slot, providing some degree of control over Ultimate Move Gauges and defensive utility
- With his Holy Relic, he is currently the best Sub slot unit for Unknown teams but can be used in other team builds
Cons[]
- He isn't good in actual battle, dealing low damage and not the greatest defensively
- If a unit has more than 2 cards, they will not receive the effects of Nanashi's support which makes his abilities useless during that turn (unless you have Unknown allies)
- Usability relies heavily on having the Holy Relic, which can be quite difficult to acquire for newer players
Gear Recommendation[]
This equipment set is used because Nanashi is meant to be used in the Sub slot, so prioritizing the best CC is ideal. Ideally, he'll never come to the field.
Equipment Set[]
- Life (HP) / Iron Wall (Defense)
Sub-stats[]
- Bracer/Ring - Attack
- Necklace/Earring - Defense
- Belt/Rune - HP
PVP - Used as a Sub slot unit primarily for the Demon, Goddess, or Unknown teams.
PVE - Nanashi has some story mode use since the AI enemies will not discriminate on how they attack, meaning Nanashi's abilities can get good value. Otherwise, Nanashi isn't particularly usable for other PVE events.

Story[]
Nanashi is a foreign swordsman who joined the Great Fight Festival for an unknown purpose.
He came from an eastern country who drifted to Britannia. After accepting the invitation to participate in the Great Fight Festival at Vaizel perpetrated by Gloxinia and Drole of the Ten Commandments, Nanashi entered the labyrinth where he encountered an Earth Crawler and killed it with relative ease, saving some few groups of knights who took notice of his attire foreign to them in Britannia.
