Blue Festival Ludociel was made available on 7DSGC Global’s August 24th, 2021 update. This version of Ludociel, also known as [Advent of Flash] Covenant of Light Ludociel, takes over Margaret as his vessel during the New Holy War arc. He is the 3rd Holy War Festival unit to be released after Green “Assault Mode” Meliodas and Green Festival Zeldris.
The backstory takes us to the prelude of the New Holy War arc. Ludociel, whose physical body was sealed and dormant for more than 3,000 years, felt the presence of a person whose soul is appropriate to become his vessel -- this person happened to be Margaret. From there, Ludociel guided Margaret to the Druid Altar where he was sealed, and made a deal with her that she would grant him her body to be his vessel in exchange for saving Gilthunder.
In the game, Ludociel can cast his “Breath of Bless” ability where allies get a magic power boost when he blows to them a heart-shaped symbol gathered from light in his palm. As an effect, it removes debuffs and increases their basic stats. It also increases damage dealt to enemies and decreases damage taken from enemies.
Festival Ludociel is primarily used as a support hero to strengthen his allies both offensively and defensively. His ability to turn them up and readily cleanse debuffs makes him a highly desired support in PVP. Moreover, teaming up with a stance/buff user allows Ludociel to increase all Goddess allies’ basic stats including himself.
- Boosts his allies offensively and defensively to heighten their potential (and even further for Goddess race allies)
- Can easily remove debuffs at rank 1 while strengthening allies
- Can deal remarkable damage when boosted by his Unique ability and Grace
- Heavily counters buff and stance users
- Does not have a Decrease / Deplete Ultimate Move Gauge skill which is commonly an important skill for support heroes
Holy Blade - An AOE attack that ignores the enemies’ Defense, similar to Red Lostvayne Meliodas, Red Excalibur Arthur and Green Roxy’s skills. It can deal huge damage when boosted by his Unique ability effect and Grace. You can use “Breath of Bless” first (or any allied buff) to combo with this skill, giving him a stack of his Unique effect before applying damage.
Breath of Bless - As portrayed in the story, Ludociel’s signature ability is a brainwashing-type spell (as referred to by the Demon Clan) that turns targets into fanatical zealots with extreme loyalty to the Goddesses. The game expresses it as an AOE buff that cleanses and provides both offensive and defensive boosts to all allies.
The effect removes debuffs, increases the damage dealt to enemies, and decreases damage taken from enemies. It also provides an increase in basic stats by 20% at rank 3. When Ludociel’s ally is of the Goddess race, they will receive an additional basic stat increase when this buff is cast due to the effect of Ludociel’s Unique ability.
Ultimate: Opening Greeting - Ludociel’s ultimate is a single-target attack that deals Sever damage, increasing the crit chance to 3x. It can inflict reliable damage especially with the effects of her Unique ability and Grace. At max level, an additional debuff is inflicted on the target, blocking all skill effects and decreasing Ultimate Move damage by 30% for 2 turns.
Unique: Distorted Holiness - Ludociel’s unique ability complements well with Goddess Race allies, increasing their basic stats (Attack, Defense, and HP) by 8% every time an ally uses a stance or Buff skill. It stacks up to 5 times amounting to 40% which is insanely great and even more so when you’re running a Goddess team.
Grace: [Advent of Flash] Grace of Flash - All the Archangels have an exclusive passive ability called Grace, similar to how the Ten Commandments have their own Commandment. Festival Ludociel inflicts bonus damage, increasing his attack by 5% for each Stance or Buff on the enemy. Note that the Grace effect can be transferred to any hero when the hero is used as an Association hero.
Equipment Set - Life (HP) / Iron Wall (Defense)
Bracer/Ring - Attack
Necklace/Earring - Defense
Belt/Rune - HP
PVP - Festival Ludociel elevates his allies to their peak potential. His skills provide crucial utility through cleansing and defensive protection. Not only that, his buff provides an attack boost that increases damage dealt to enemies, making everyone a viable damage dealer including himself. A full Goddess team with buff and stance abilities may benefit most from his passive effects, but any team combination with Ludociel can still work tremendously well.
Equip him with HP and Defense equipment sets for high CC. Survivability is key for Ludociel to effectively execute his role.
PVE Battles - Although damage-centric and fast clearing teams are ideal in PVE battles, using Festival Ludociel can work better in higher difficulties and major roadblocks of the game (events, story mode, special missions, etc.).
Red Demon - Festival Ludociel’s buff can be used to amplify attacks and reduce damage taken from the demon.
Training Grotto - He is mainly used as a counter to Strength-type (Red) Illusion Ambers, especially against Level 3 stages. He is also effective against [Red Amber] Bishop of Love, [Red Amber] Frenzied Giant, and [Red Amber] Explosive Giant.

Ludociel is the leader of the Four Archangels of the Goddess Clan and also the leader of Stigma.
When Ludociel feels the presence of someone with an appropriate soul to be his vessel, he calls her to the altar on which he was sealed. There, Ludociel makes a deal with the young princess of Liones, she would grant him her body to be his vessel in exchange for saving Gilthunder. After this, Ludociel takes the body of Margaret and offers Hendrickson and Dreyfus in becoming members of his new Stigma and eradicating the Demon Clan.
In order to fulfill the deal with Margaret, Ludociel transports himself to the Druid Altar where Gilthunder was held captive by Vivian. Once there, Ludociel pierce Vivian's throat with his rapier, affirming that his promise to eliminate the sorceress and to free Gilthunder was fulfilled, being able from that point to take the complete control of Margaret's body. Feeling the presence of a member of the Demon Clan near the altar, Ludociel releases a powerful attack against Zeldris who was in the middle of a negotiation with Merlin, claiming that it was a welcome greeting. Ludociel mentions how satisfied he is in Margaret's body, while Gilthunder asks why he chose her and demands that he release her, but Ludociel states that Margaret sacrificed herself to save him. When Zeldris emerges once again furious at the return of the Archangels, he launches his Dies Irae against Ludociel.
