Episode 621[]
Boss Strategy[]
One big thing to note in this stage is that the boss applies Ignites and Infect basically every turn. Worse off, the required CC to go first in this fight is 350,000 CC. Needless to say, it can prove difficult for many players to even be able to beat this stage without going forward. Thankfully, there are multiple characters that function quite well here.
You also need to bring a Meliodas unit into this fight. By and large, the best Meliodas unit to bring along is Dark Purgatory Meliodas as he will always get his Unique Ability activated every turn and it will also cleanse any Debuffs on him.
Best Heroes for Each Role[]
DPS Examples[]
- Light “The One” Ultimate Escanor
- Escanor is an ideal choice as his stats can not be significantly lowered by the boss, his Ultimate Move is extremely effective at dealing damage even at low Ultimate Move levels and its effects are disabled, and he can survive being killed for a small period of time.
- Dark Purgatory Meliodas
- Since the boss constantly attacks three times per turn, Meliodas is guaranteed to have his Unique Ability activated every turn. This also allows him to cleanse all Debuffs applied to him, such as Infect, allowing him to easily recover health.
- Light Mael of Sunshine
- If you want to utilize Goddesses specifically, bringing Mael will grant you extra defensive protection along with a strong DPS option. You don’t need it, but if you can Ult with Mael, he can deal high damage.
- Green Sariel
- The boss does not reduce damage from counters, so Sariel is a strong option alongside Mael. The boss always attacks three times, so Sariel will constantly be dealing damage with his counters. If you can manage to get a level 2 or 3 Stance, Sariel can effectively deal with the boss on his own. Beware about the boss’s Ultimate Move though, as it will remove all Stances and Buffs.
Support Examples[]
- Red Freyr
- Freyr’s Unique Ability allows the team to be immune to Ignites, effectively bypassing that part of the boss fight entirely. His damage will inevitably be mediocre as he will have type disadvantage, so rely on your DPS units for damage.
- Green Diane
- If you can not manage to go first, then Diane is a great choice as she taunts immediately regardless of going second or not. Although, using Diane means you must use Red Tarmiel as her association link to keep her alive. If you have her Holy Relic, she can reliably heal herself with her attack skill but it is not necessary.
- Blue Festival Ludociel
- He can provide support to all Goddess allies without needing to attack himself. Green Sariel’s stance will help activate it and Ludociel himself can cleanse Debuffs. Ludociel may die during the fight but that is totally fine as Sariel and Mael can finish the fight on their own.
- Blue Tarmiel
- If you want to further enhance Green Sariel’s Stance, Blue Tarmiel can help him deal more damage and take less damage so long as you have his Holy Relic. He would substitute for Blue Festival Ludociel’s place on the team.
Sub-Slot units[]
- Green Merlin
- Granting the team an extra starting Ultimate Move Gauge is very convenient, particularly for Escanor. Bringing Ultimate Move food can help in making her Unique Ability more effective. Moreover, if Diane or Freyr die, Merlin can drop in and delete Ultimate Move Gauge from the boss assuming you get the skill you need. Try to avoid using Diane or Freyr’s skills to give yourself the best odds at getting Merlin’s skills. when she drops in.
- Blue Captain Meliodas (or any other Meliodas unit)
- Since you are required to bring Meliodas along, if you are using the Goddess team you can simply toss him into the sub-slot of the team. Blue Captain Meliodas would be ideal since he actually has support capabilities in the sub-slot, but it isn’t needed.
